Hartwell Lake South Carolina

Lake Hartwell is a man-made lake in South Carolina. The water was dammed from the Savannah River in the early 1950s to provide hydroelectric power and for use as a source of drinking water. After initially serving as a reservoir, the lake has become a popular spot for fishing and recreational boating. The area is also home to a wide variety of wildlife, including alligators!
